Virtual Chester is split into two sections ? the Virtual tour and the themed buildings tour.

VIRTUAL TOUR

The Virtual Tour is launched from the opening page of the site. Click the ?LAUNCH VIRTUAL WORLD? button. This will open a new window. The first time you visit the site you will be prompted to load the ?CORTONA? virtual reality player. This is a free download from www.parallelgraphics.com.

Once Cortona is installed on your system it will be automatically detected each time you visit the site.

Choose the connection speed you have to the internet, to launch the virtual world. Depending on your connection speed there may be a delay before the virtual world appears. As virtual reality requires fast connections to the Internet and high specification computers you may see a less or more detailed view of the City.

Click the rotating cube to begin.

QUICK TOUR

Click the Millennium Tour button to experience an automatic tour around the City. You can hide the Menu by clicking the link. Restore the menu at any time and choose the Stop Tour button at any time.

Hide/Show Toolbars - You can show or hide toolbars.

Show/Hide Console - Shows or hides the VRML console containing errors or warnings (for VRML developers).
